I'm so damn tired that I'm getting the Dreary Blahs which are usually part and parcel of depression. Not depressed, though. Just tired. I should go to bed. I probably won't.
Got an email from Jess a few days ago. She reminded me that I have this novel I'm currently sitting on. Then I read Neil Gaiman's blog, and he was talking about how he's about 2/3rds of the way through the first part of Anansi Boys (he's about 46,000 words further along than I, but then I'm only planning on about 50,000 so that's all right), and I'm feeling the guilt touching me. Also, I can't help but feel that this general apathy I'm in might actually help me get over this barrier I currently have. I don't care enough to be boxed in. I can write crap for a bit and hope that it gets me up to the next part of the plot. That's the theory, anyway.
We've just started the judging process for the Vis Ink short story comp, which is officially closed (ie, if you haven't sent anything in yet and you've been planning on it, contact me ASAP, or pop it in the post even faster). I have a sheaf of stories I should probably start reading tomorrow.
(No wigwams.)
