Few things in life make me happier than my Dad playing Halo with my sister and me. He sat down and played a couple of rounds of multiplayer yesterday, and he sucked at it. Which was okay, because he's a) never played a FPS before, and b) he's never played the game before. But I love my Dad so much, and I love Halo (in a totally different way), so it was great to be able to share those two things. Also, he had fun, too, before he got a bit frustrated at well, sucking at it. If he hadn't been enjoying himself, I wouldn't have enjoyed it either. Damn, but Dad loves those grenades. Reminds me of when I first started. ;)

That's just awesome. My father has never understood my fascination with gaming of any sort. He tolerates it, but still regards it as a vast waste of money. I've tried to get him involved over the years, but he just doesn't understasnd the point of it all. Thinks I could do something more useful with my time, such as milking poisonous snakes. Or cleaning the house.

*nods* True, but with a job to sustain my addiction, it doesn't really hurt me as financially now, so he has a little less arguements.
... That and having a gaming addiction isn't nearly as destructive as narcotics.

Well yeah, I've tried to get Bob interested, but her interest is sporadic at best.
