Ever since skimming through a Smax comic at Emma's place, I feel like I've been more sensitive than usual to pop-culture references within comics. Tonight's?
On page 115 of Transmet, book 7, Spider's transient badge has a single drop of blood on it that is visually reminiscent of the smily-face-with-blood-spatter badge that is used as a visual signifier in Watchmen, by Alan Moore.
(Not to mention "Durden Demolitions" several pages later. "If it says DURDEN, it's going down.")
