I've just spent multiple hours reading something positive, and am starting to feel that old familiar violence towards happy people with boy/girl/otherfriends. It makes me feel like I'm back in high school. Don't worry, it'll pass. It's not that strong an urge.

The wind's settled down now. I no longer have an uncontrollable urge to duct tape crosses on the window. Ah yes, you can take the girl out of Queensland... although considering I've grown up in Victoria, I wonder where I learnt any information on preparing for cyclones at all. What's with that? It was a long time ago. I'm not even sure if it was duct tape... maybe it was gaffer tape. I don't know.

Hoo boy... wind's starting to pick up again. If you don't mind, I'm going to go fill the bath tub with water.

Windy and rainy here as well.
The dog is NOT impressed.
The lights were flickering before and the tv went off. If it does so again while I'm watching/taping Angel I will NOT be impressed.
Although... Angel seems to be getting freakier and freakier each episode. Maybe I don't want to watch it...

Anyway. *snugglehug* because you're you.

Aw. Poor dog.

I wouldn't know... I've only seen three eps of Angel. It's next on my list of "things to watch".

Yay! *pounce!dishevel*

Ooh, you don't want to tape crosses on the window. You'll get strange shadowy government employees coming to call... =)

*Grins* It's alright, they're not Christian crosses. They're Xs. They're supposed to stop the windows falling out. :D

Nope. I saw the stretchy dude one from the first season, then a whole run of them later... where there were people like vampires. Or something. I don't really remember.

*the* reason I started a) reading, and b) writing slash.

(It's amazing what you find if you type Mulder/Krycek into a search engine. In a computer lesson at an *all girls*, *catholic* school, no less... =))

He's alright. But then, you need to remember he's the wrong gender for me. ;)

Yeh, I've heard there's quite a lot of Krycek/Mulder. I saw a screen still sequence on someone's journal that is canon subtext. That was the first I'd seen of him... from his name, I'd always pictured a bit of a bruiser, I guess, who's older than that. And not particularly attractive...

I got into reading slash fanfiction by accident. I didn't even know it was fan fiction at first, because it was from an American TV show I'd never heard of.

Good gracious, I would not last five seconds in your area. Earthquake country kicks cyclone country any day of the week.

I mean really. I'd end up wrapping myself in duct tape, falling into a bathtub full of unfortunately-scalding water and drown myself. And it'd turn out there was no tornado at all, so they'd never come looking for me. Then I'd start to smell. That's how I'd die in the Midwest: Smelly, green, bloated, and wrapped in duct tape.

My aspirations for the future are few, you can tell.

Heh. Where I live is not cyclone country. No major natural disasters here at all... just your standard size storms. Cyclones are further up the coast, in Queensland (which is tropical). They were just regular winds. :)

Heheheheheheheh.

::bangs head::

Goodness me, serious HP fanfic is hard to write. Am brainstorming plot and resisting urges to make Draco's job for Voldemort include rubber duckie raincoat. Get on AIM or something and talk me out of the rubber duckies. AIM: doinalurtzabout MSN:citrusqueeze06 AT hotmail DOT com Help me. The duckies are calling.

Wah! I'd love to, but I'm on someone else's computer!

I actually think you should go with the rubber duckie raincoat. If DT and one of QueerasJohn's fics can include silliness with the serious, I think you can. *nods*

I'm starting to feel that old familiar violence towards myself, for those very reasons. I've turned into one of THEM. Eeep!

I'll try think of something dysfunctional to post, and make things seem more normal.
