I've just spent multiple hours reading something positive, and am starting to feel that old familiar violence towards happy people with boy/girl/otherfriends. It makes me feel like I'm back in high school. Don't worry, it'll pass. It's not that strong an urge.

The wind's settled down now. I no longer have an uncontrollable urge to duct tape crosses on the window. Ah yes, you can take the girl out of Queensland... although considering I've grown up in Victoria, I wonder where I learnt any information on preparing for cyclones at all. What's with that? It was a long time ago. I'm not even sure if it was duct tape... maybe it was gaffer tape. I don't know.

Hoo boy... wind's starting to pick up again. If you don't mind, I'm going to go fill the bath tub with water.

Heh. Where I live is not cyclone country. No major natural disasters here at all... just your standard size storms. Cyclones are further up the coast, in Queensland (which is tropical). They were just regular winds. :)

Goodness me, serious HP fanfic is hard to write. Am brainstorming plot and resisting urges to make Draco's job for Voldemort include rubber duckie raincoat. Uhh your friend burningskyfire. Would link but have just had bit of wine to get things started and it was some um really spectacular wine and am feeling veryl woozy righ tnow. she's making me pay attention to the paper. gooness, must get some of that wine later on when am not trying to work quite so hard on important story plot. *sway*
