changelingGrr. Can I beat someone up if they post "Newbie! Please play nice!"? It's as bad as posting a fic to fanfiction.net and going, "This is my first fic! ~Pls r/r!!~" Hmm. I feel like George Carlin.
"And of course, the three most puke-inducing words that man had yet come up with: Baby on board! ... Life doesn't change because you post a sign! You know, I'm supposed to alter my driving habits just because some woman forgot to put her diaphragm in. Isn't that really nice?!"
Anyway.
"Tell 'em [tollbooth operators] you have no money, you spent it all on pussy and beer. That'll wake 'em up. 'Specially if you're a woman!"

This is weird, as this comment came up in conversation with either Nat or Liam, either today or yesterday.....
....my memory sucks.
Regarding today's BMB comic, I say GO SANDRA! That's a good kick in the pants for obsessive stalker-type Cy/Skids shippers. You know what? I'm a C/S shipper. I think they'd make a great couple. Is this going to make me get pissed off with the comic and Sandra every time one of them shows a little depth and complexity in their character, and, heaven forbid talks to/kisses another person? Hell no. Sandra's taken us on a great ride so far, and I'm willing to just sit back and let her do the driving. Cy so needs a break from the angst. The poor boy's working himself into an aneurysm. [If you can get aneurysms from stress. I'm not sure. Ask Sandra. She's the pre-med student. I'm not perfectly sure what that entails as a pre-med student in Australia is a high school student (or someone from science who hasn't transferred yet), but she's smart. She knows about organelles. Organelles rock.]
My day sucked and rocked. The girl in charge of the button machine at uni wouldn't let me have a go because it was ten minutes before they closed (at 4 o'clock!!), so now I've got to go in another day to make my badges.
Then I met up with Nat, put an order in for Coraline to Slow Glass, and bought me Neverwhere at Minotaur, and the third Anita book. All I need now is Blue Moon (and Wossname in Chains...the only one I haven't read; and it's impossible to get over here).
Love to stay and chat, but I have a brilliant idea for a Wackiness strip for tomorrow, and it's half five in the morning, so I've got to step lively. I'll fill you in on the rest later. Bye!

Those Fanfiction.net writers...

If there is one thing I HATE most about that site is those frigging words, "I don't write very good summaries, just r/r!"
There are some 35,000 stories in the Sailor Moon, DBZ, and Gundam Wing sections which I frequent quite regularly and at least 60 percent of the stories say that in their description. AND is the reason WHY I don't bother reading them. All I would like is a short teaser summary enticing me to read.
In another note, I also HATE with a passion those that say "Please R/R cuz if you don't I won't bother finishing it." Are they that obcessed with fanfiction fame that it is the only reason they bother to write at all? If that is the case, then they need a new hobby.
BAH, I don't write because I want reviews, I write because I want the characters to do things MY way.
Admitting though that getting positive reviews is a bit buzzy. I don't write for that reason.
Anyways, yes...thank you, Dani, for allowing me this rant in your journal.
