Yep, here's the next round of books I'm getting rid of. I said I had a fair few. There's even more to come.

Here's the last post.

FICTION

CHILDREN'S

Only You Can Save Mankind, Terry Pratchett. Paperback. First of the Johnny Maxwell series. Reasonable nick. Signed to me, due to Author's inability to grasp that I wanted to have it signed to my sister at the end of a long day of two different signings (poor bugger). $4

Horrible Histories: The Groovy Greeks and The Rotten Romans (Two Horrible Books in One), Terry Deary & Martin Brown Hardcover. Good gift for small relatives. $7

The Worst Witch, Jill Murphy Paperback. This book was MY Harry Potter when I was growing up. It's not quite as Epic, but at least it has a girl as the main character. The villain looks an awful lot like Draco Malfoy in drag, come to think of it. A lot. Excellent nick. $5

FANTASY

Stardust, Neil Gaiman Paperback, good nick. Would you believe I had three copies of this at one stage? Two mass-market paperbacks, and one trade. This version has the pretty enamelled-forest cover. $5

LITERATURE

Celestial Navigation, Anne Tyler Paperback, excellent nick. Anne Tyler might be for some, but she ain't for me. $5

A Case of Need, Michael Crichton Paperback. Stock in good nick, but cover a little work. Cover is in turquoise foil, for some reason. I loved this book (it's probably my favourite Crichton, funnily enough), but I've probably read it often enough for one life. $5

Scarlet and Black, Stendhal I think I bought this because I read an article on it on Salon.com, or somewhere. Paperback, good heavy quality stock. Cover slightly worn, but in excellent nick considering it's over 50 years old.

GRAPHIC NOVELS

Ghost World, Daniel Clowes Yep, the book that spawned the movie. Paperback, excellent nick. $5

HORROR

Love in Vein II: Eighteen More Original Tales of Vampire Erotica, ed. Poppy Z. Brite Good nick. Paperback.

NON-FICTION

The Oxford History of the French Revolution, William Doyle Paperback. Good nick. A classic of the subject. $5

Introducing Kafka, David Zane Mairowitz, illustrated by ROBERT CRUMB. Ah, university bookshop, how I miss thee. My wallet doesn't, though. Paperback, good nick. $5

Is rehearsal on Monday an option?
Failing that: I work in the CBD, just behind Spencer St Station. Is a lunchtime/after work rendezvous possible?

In theory, yes. Failing that, I'm now working on Swanston St so I can definitely rendezvous during the week.

Of course!

Poppy has taste. There are a few really good authors in there from memory, including Caitlin R. Kiernan and Neil Gaiman.

Please let me know how to get the book to you ASAP. I really don't want to move these books with me if I can avoid it.

I'll be at work on Swanston St (between Melb Central and University of Melb) this Wednesday, and at the rental place (in Coburg) on Thursday. Are either of these suitable for you?
