OK, flist. I'll bite. WTF IS UP WITH ALL THIS SUPERNATURAL STUFF? And calling it SPN all the time just makes me think America's started up another cable channel.

C'mon, guys, don't leave me in the dark. I feel like a Livejournaller who's never heard of JKR.

And I'm still struggling through season 1 of House. Why do you guys have to have such long seasons? *sob*

SUPERNATURAL IS AWESOME. Two hot guys! Hunting evil! With an awesome car and a fantastic soundtrack! I have the first season on DVD, I can lend it to you.

And speaking of Season 1 House, do you want to borrow that? Since I also have that on DVD!

I have a slight obsession with buying DVDs. I actually have a list of things I need to buy once I am employed again. >.> Which includes things like House and Grey's Anatomy Season 2. But yeah, I'll bring House Season 1 to class tonight!

I'll have to hide it from Dani so she doesn't watch it without me!

ALSO. MAN. I so wish you guys could watch Heroes as well. It is SO AWESOME, but on Wednesday nights at 8.30.

The ads for Supernatural have sometimes given me nightmares and I've not even seen the show. But! I am quite interested in Heroes, me and my obsession with mutants LOL. <33

I really quite liked Supernatural - you have the supernatural beings plus brotherly angst - but then I got over it because my entire flist seemed to ADORE it and I thought it was good, but not THAT good. I've been watching the second season as it's been airing here though, and was kind of surprised to find that I really loved last Monday's episode. I hope the reason of the season gets me as involved as that ep did.

My personal unpopular opinion: Supernatural is, unfortunately, not nearly as cool as it could have been. The characters and premise are great, and I enjoyed the episode stories and monsters quite a bit (though I understand that this is because I never saw X-Files, from which I am led to believe it borrows extensively). However, it's let down by poor writing, heavy-handed scripts and developments that just make my eyes roll, not to mention the stupidest evil to ever get itself cast out of heaven.

The chief appeal of the show, really, is the hawt of the actors. Also, I used to really like watching Jensen Ackles (Dean) act, and not just because he's so pretty he should be illegal. He did very good things with his character, but finally he just couldn't combat the writing, and I bailed on the show.

However, the show is good for a rollicking good time, there's lots of snappy lines, and it's fun. I loved watching it with Anthony. Just don't expect too much. *G*

Ah well, considering how little patience I have for TV at the best of times I might give SPN a miss then. (I don't watch anything, really, unless someone can promise me that it's worth the wasted time of sitting in front of the TV and not doing anything. Like, House good. And I mean not doing anything in concentrating way, and not in that "I need something to take my mind off the boring stuffs my hands are doing, ie, pinning hems so I'll watch my Tori Amos DVD with the commentary on." way. Where was that full stop meant to go? Which reminds me, are you coming to our party? I don't get the RSVPs and I haven't looked at our spreadsheet. Gosh this is a rambling comment. (I don't have much to do at work today!))

Gimme time to go get a couple more stacks of DVD's and I could burn you Heroes... Well only up to Episode 13 as that is all that has been released in the U.S.

Given that Supernatural and House offers have already poured in, I'll refrain from adding offers to that. Though it is admittedly taking me a horrendous amount of time to get through 2nd Season House. *frowns*

I really like Supernatural because of the following:

+ the way the brothers interact and fight and remind me of my siblings
+ the fact that Sam especially reminds me of my sister, Kris
+ the horror aspect, ghost stories, vampires, werewolves, etc.
+ the soundtrack
+ Dean's hotness
+ the family issues between the brothers and their dad

Things I don't like:

+ the treatment of women
+ the writing can be really crap sometimes
+ I'd like a lot more depth and plotting from the stories
+ the big bad evil of the main storyline isn't all that interesting or scary

I enjoy it a lot, but I am sorry it's not the deep, layered, wonderful show it could be with some work.
