S & I have moved into the house we're living in for the next two months. R, who owns the house, failed to set up her internet properly, so we're having to use dialup. :/ Still, with $20 a month, it's not too bad, even if it's only 44.8 kbps. I'm used to cable.

A better update will occur when we're not about to go to bed, and are only on to check that there are no desperate emails awaiting us.

It is nice, albeit brief. It's tremendous fun setting up house, and it's actually really nice to be able to choose what food's in the house.

That's reasonably standard here. Remember that our economies are not the same. That's just under the cost of two concession movie tickets, and it's either unlimited downloads for 40 days, or 160 something (Steph isn't sure) for 90 days - in which case it'll last us the duration of our stay.

Sometimes. Depends on the plan, I think. This is just the internet equivalent of a phone card. Anyway, how should I know? I've been on cable for years and years. *grins disarmingly*

My dad is a HYOOGE geek, and was sick of our constantly going over our allocated 70 hours for dialup. Also, CABLE! And I think we already had cable TV, so Optus gave you cheaper installation &c as you had the cables laid already.
