Dad: That's like Christmas mid year?
M: It's the winter solstice. It's what Christianity based the date for Christmas on. Actually, I remember hearing that in the days of the early church, Christmas was celebrated in March or something, but they moved it because the Pagans had a big celebration in December. "It'll be great: no-one will even notice they're celebrating Christianity."
D: It's like Microsoft.
M: Well, Christianity was like the Microsoft of the third century.
D: "Coming to a head near you."

You know, Liam and I were watching a documentary last night on Ancient Rome, and how Constantine saw the 'XP' symbol and that was when he decided that as 'XP' was the symbol for Christos, it might be time to convert to the Christian God...
