My fucking back. My fucking, fucking BACK.
Had work tonight, from 5.30 to 9. Had to cancel plans I had with Steph and Hedda because it was the only shift I was going to get this week. I didn't get out of the store until 9.30. NINE FUCKING THIRTY. This is because we had more people lining up at 9 than at any other time during my shift. We had two registers going (as we had through my shift), plus the two registers at refunds (or maybe there was just one going, I was too busy to note), and we had two bag packers at our registers to try and get things moving faster. I put through at least two transactions over $200 in that last half hour.
Apparently there's a Merchant of Venice movie in the works.
Sometimes I wish I were a guy, because I'd love to play a panto dame. I'm too young, anyway.
Star Wars is like an abusive spouse.
My back still aches like a bitch. Fucking customers. Fucking stupid shoes. I need to find out from
notfudge where she got her nifty flat nurse's shoes.
I am virtuous, and got two rounds of washing done today. O'course, I've just realised that it matters not one jot, as my parents have zoomed off to Sydney, meaning that I can do my washing at any time at all during the weekend.
nys is also going off to the Meredith Music Festival, which means it's just me and Littlest, all weekend. I was thinking about inviting
notfudge or
imaginaryfields over, but I'm sure they have better things to do. I predict blood and tears by the end of Saturday.
OH!
bekki_n! I got your card today! It's very nifty, and my first second (aha, S. was first) of the season. Thanks so much!
...which reminds me. I ought to do my cards this weekend. I am very far behind. Maybe I'll make surrealist cards which will have only a tenuous connexion to Christmas. That could be fun.

Date: 2004-12-10 11:12 pm (UTC)I would've said yes, if you'd asked, only then said no, as I'd have to leave for coven (today) and we'd both have to go for classes tomorrow.
Bug Hedda to find out when she's free next week, 'cause I want the movie-a-thon, dammit.
