I am so phobic of spiders it's not funny. Especially big ones about 3 or 4 inches across.

*shudders* I know what you mean with spider cooties. I'm reminded of the time my best friend's friend Adrian picked up a huge dead huntsman with his bare hands and threw it at me... it stuck to me because I was wearing a furry jumper.
I never wanted to wear that jumper again.

Yeah, Kara told me. :)

Oddly, it's the small ones that bother me more. The big ones I can keep track of, y'know? I definitely don't count as phobic, but spiders do bug me on an irrational level.

The little ones are easily caught. But the damn Huntsmen, who hide up towards the top of the walls so I can't catch them and get rid of them...

Your little ones might be easily caught...I'm fairly convinced ours could outrun a horse. Plus about half of them can jump a good three feet...at least. *shiver* I'm always scared they're going to do that and end up down my shirt.

See? Little = evil. *nods*

You probably don't have to worry so much about the jumping though, if you're not already aware of yours. We just have a few different species of jumping spider here. ^^;

I don't *think* we have those in Melbourne.

You probably don't. If I'm remembering right, they like a nice dank, shady climate with lots of small nooks and gaps. *looks outside* Dank, check. Shady, overcast and hardly any sun counts, check. Lots of small nooks and gaps, tends to come with the dank. Check. -_-

That is why one moves to another country.

Here, at least, spiders peak at 1 inch.

At least they're harmless. I'm just phobic.

On the up side, we don't have Bush as president. And we're really hoping to get rid of Howard any day now... >_>

We don't have Bush either, and I'm hoping, for your sake, that you didn't assume I was American. :)

Not at all... *whistles*

(I have another Scott on my friends list, who is 'Mercan, and I wasn't paying much attention. Sorry 'bout that.)

You guys, have like, a prime minister, right? I thought y'all all spoke French?

We do have a Prime Minister, et je parle francais.

Strangely, one can know French AND English. :)

*grins* I know. We have a PM too, you know.

Eh. I can't learn languages. I did Japanese at school, but all I can remember tends to be words that Anime fluff-heads use, so... *shrugs*

We have a Huntsman living in the courner of our kitchen. He disappears every now and then too...like this morning. But he usually returns. He seems to keep the bugs away, though.

In the kitchen's fine. JUST NOT IN MY BEDROOM.

Usually they're all motionless, and I can cope with that. This one seems to have ADD.
