Oct. 17th, 2003 01:02 amI do not like phones. I really don't. I'm not one for picking up the phone and calling a friend to chat for an hour. So, I procrastinate, and put it off. I usually enjoy talking to friends when I finally get onto them, though.
I now have a car. Yay! It currently smells (rather nauseatingly) of citrus, but we're hoping this is slowly eating away at the vomit smell, and then it will be all good.
And now for another "You Had To Be There!"
I made a delirious comment (I gets crazy with no sleep) about how the time delay in broadcasting Triple J to states not with the same timezone as Melbourne/Sydney (ie SA and WA) can work in your favour if you make a really stupid comment on radio. First I suggested that you could destroy everyone's radios, but Nat was confused, so I expanded. The conversation went something like this:
Me: So, if you make a comment, on air, about your secret desire to be... a lesbian nun, then you can call up everyone you know, and invite them to a movie, so they're not listening to the radio, and will never know your dark secret.
Nat: ...
...
*laughs for five minutes* I think that's the funniest thing I've ever heard.
I'm tired. I've been up for about sixteen hours, and I now have a deep desire to become a Buddhist and become one with my bed. [<--very bad joke I will regret in the morning]
Steph, lovely, Lamb were on Triple J this afternoon (I missed them by minutes); they were interviewed and played a song live. It'll be replayed on 2003 this Sunday, which plays from about 6-9, if I recall correctly. Maybe you want to try and tape it...?
