Sep. 7th, 2003 11:37 pmHum. A nothing day, as Sundays tend to be.
I bought far too much stuff yesterday, including a new fountain pen (*facepalm*), and some red ink to go in it. I added some black ink to it, and now it's all creepy and old-bloodish. I like it very much.
I've started to draw a new background, as I felt like I need a new LJ layout. Presuming I finish it, it will hopefully be in the etched style, à la Tennyson or Gorey. More of a still life than anything, so probably slightly more tennyson. I've got it partly pencilled, then I need to finish that, ink it, and scan it. Not tonight, though; I need my sleep.
I still have yet to ink that ifrit I drew last week. I pinned him up on my wall today so as to get him out of my way so I could start this new picture.
Amongst the other things I bought yesterday, I bought these paints that dry into this sort of clear gel-like finish. Very nifty. They're also smelly - the orange one smells of orange, the purple one of grape and so forth. I spent an enormously fun time today drawing with them on a piece of paper. Well, mostly writing random words. You know.
I have no Adam and Wil on the radio tomorrow morning to get me through. I am sad.
Update! I have finished pencilling the new background. Woo!
