Yay! First two chapters done! I may still go back and revise (read: expand), but for the moment, I've finished with them. On to chapter three in full, not just writing chapters one, two and three at once. I've also broken 1000 words, which is good. Admittedly by tonight I should have written almost seven thousand words, but I think I can be excused from heavy-duty writing until I've finished my extremely overdue English Revolutions & Classics essays. That's my excuse, and I'm sticking to it.
In those first two chapters, I've also introduced two of my main characters, a dead man and an angel (don't ask, just don't ask. It's not my fault, I swear!). Strangely, the dead man, who I had invisiged as taking a comparatively minor role, is proving very easy to write, whereas my witch, who's supposed to be the main character, is proving very difficult to introduce indeed. I may need to change the point of view from first to second to get her preliminary chapter off the ground. We'll just have to see, won't we?

hey, just introducing myself. i found you via the nanowimo lj (i missed the deadline but am doing it with a few friends starting on the 10th after assignments are due) and i had a peek at your journal coz you're an aussie (and i always look at the few and far between aussie journals) and i had a look at your interests and of all the journals i've looked at you have the most similar to me - a lot of them i don't have listed in mine because i can't remember them all! but in particular jeanette winterson, always happy to meet a fellow fan :)
