So. I've been to hospital. That was the longest and most boring threeish hours of my life. Good news? I don't have appendicitis.

They jabbed my arm with a needle to steal about 10 units of blood (ccs? I'm not sure. Maybe it was mLs.), then shoved an IV in. Bastards weren't sensible. didn't do it in my left arm; oh no. Let's do it in the crook of my right arm. Because after all, it's only the arm I use to do everything. It's still all achy, and doesn't like to be bent. I was brave, though. Not a peep from me with the needle; not so much as a sharply indrawn breath. I deserve a gold star. ^_^

Anyway, the doctor's given me an ultrasound whatsit, as the new theory is that I may have an ovarian cyst. 'Cause that's so much better. *sigh*



Weekend or no, small sisters should be restricted to no more than an hour's phone time. I have no desire to hear her entire conversation played out in the corridors of our house. Damn that cordless phone...

Ouch - going through that kind of crap is terrible. I mean, doctors are supposed to know what is going on, but instead you get to happily go through test after bloody test that doesn't seem to get you anywhere. :(

Yeah. My faith in doctors is weakening, and it wasn't strong to begin with. *sigh* Sometimes I wish it was worst-case scenario (in this case appendicitis), because at least that way I'd get some sort of diagnosis. I'm sick of "I don't know. Have some bed rest and maybe it'll clear up on its own."

I've been told that ovarian cysts are horrid. Poor Dani! But at least you know what the problem is, and it's one in the eye for anyone who wasn't immediately sympathetic.

n_n;;; Ooh dear... I'm very happy to hear you don't have appendicitis. I didn't get to reading your other entries so I don't know if you've written of this before, but that usually starts out with a pain in the chest/ribs. So if you didn't have that pain, then it wasn't appendicitis.
I had a burst appendix when I was nine, my blood was contaminated by the poison and such things, with infections and gangrene (sp?!) and other poopy stuff. I was very much close to death.
So I'm glad that isn't your problem! ^_^
I hope everything gets all better, though. *gives ten gold stars AND A PINK ONE!*
