Today was the peace protest. According to police estimates, there was 150,000 people marching from Melbourne Central to Flinders St. According to a radio broadcast Nat heard, the turnout was similar to that of the Vietnam protests.


So. I had an awesome day. Pity I now have little goblins dancing up and down on top of my brain wearing cleats. I have the worstest headache in the whole world.




Buuut...I've just discovered that I think I've left my athame behind at the place where we have Wendy-classes. Boo. I sincerely hope that it's still there in two weeks time. :(


Discovered tonight that Wendy was in a production of The Boyfriend when she was in year 11. She was Polly. This amused me no end.

This historical fact was discovered when I spontaneously broke out into the Charleston song (as I am wont to do) and Wendy asked me where that was from... It's always strange when people have actually heard of The Boyfriend.

Aaaand... Wendy said I have a good voice! *does the happy dance*

Keenspace is still being a poop, so I can't post that picture I did last night. This majorly sucks. I wish I had some sort of alternate image hosting-y place, like Sandra does at Buhfly.com. Grr. Stoopid Keenspace. Brilliant considering it's free, but it has been playing up recently. I mean, I can't even get my FTP client to connect at all!

Mine doesn;t any more, ye're not supposed to sharpen them, and besides sharpening wood can be hard and make it splinter. Mine's a curved knife with lovely engraving (courtesy of grandfather) on the hilt.

from where I was in the march they (officials) were saying we numbered over 200,000 people. So did the TV. Don't know who's right, it's a bit hard to do a head count of that many people!
