I'm always astounded when people add me to their friendship list without me adding them first. I guess it's just another of those little self-checking anti-ego commands I added into my personality way back. *grins*

You know what sucks? Having a limit on the interests section of your user info. I've reached my limit and I want to keep adding, dammit!

Yep, I'm one of those insane few (?) who signed up for NaNoWriMo: essentially a promise to ourselves that we will write a novel, of no fewer than 50.000 words. Not only that, but we have the month of November to complete this task. That's about 1.666 and 2/3 words.

Today was the day of the annual Not The Year 12 Muckup Day Breakfast. This is the fourth year we've run it. It's the brainchild of Bek & me. In '98 we were close friends with a group of year 12s. I was in year 10, Bek was in TAFE. Anyway, in the leadup to the year 12 muckup day, the boys banned us from South Yarra station where we usually met them in the mornings, despite the fact that I *had* to go through that station to go to school anyway. We got pissed that these boys were banning us from even a spectator role on their muckup day, and decided to organise our *own* damn celebration. So we gathered friends and had the Not The Year 12 Muckup Day Breakfast in nearby Fawkner Park. The boys ended up visiting and joining in when they got bored with their muckup morning.

So, this is my first Not Breakfast I've run (well, more or less) since I've left school. It's no longer really about Year 12 Muckup Day, because we're cool, sophisticated uni students (!) who don't give a damn about high school - been there, done that. It's now a Tradition, being done this way because it's Always Been Done This Way (For Pratchett fans: cf the Bledlows & The Archchancellor's Keys, The Last Continent, pages 11 to 13. No, I don't have too much time on my hands, I'm avoiding writing my Classics Essay.) It's the only day in the year I eat Froot Loops for breakfast. So ner.

I'm sure Sandra would have approved of Laim's & my almost obsessive glomping of each other all day. Heh...

Speaking of webcomics & their talented artists (hee hee...I'm so unsuttle....that's like unsubtle, but spelt phonetically. Ish.) , is anyone else having trouble viewing comics stored on Keenspace at the moment? I hope this blows over soon...

Ah yes, the great novel we're all to write next month. Personally, I think I can do it, but I'm itching to get started!

Otherwise, I didn't get my Sinfest comic in the mail this morning, so I think something's up with Keen. Mrp.
