Continuum!
Jul. 18th, 2005 11:34 amThis past weekend was Continuum. It was an amazing event - far better than I had hoped. It was less like a con and more like a party of four hundred people - that was my impression. Steph, Jess and I made new friends (one a little too enamoured of Jess, alas, and she did not return his affection) and generally had a good time. The panels were interesting, though the Maskobalo a little disappointing - terrible music.
The house is a bit of a bombsite, though, due to extreme last-minute stress over Maskobalo costumes, and general not-being-here this weekend. We did a little bit of a cleanup on Sunday morning at least.
Must dash, as am potentially late for Novel class, and was late last week as well. I shall endeavour to update with more information, and notes on the two guests who interested me most (Poppy Z. Brite & Neil Gaiman).
Our house (S & I) have not yet got a copy of Half-Blood Prince due to the fact that we are both terrifically poor. In fact, I discovered yesterday that I don't have enough to fill my car with petrol, and as I shan't get paid for at least two weeks, this is something of a distressing incident for Yours Truly. I hope I have enough to buy another 5-day ticket for next week. S, however, gets paid this Wednesday, so hopefully I may be allowed to read her copy some time before this weekend. In the meantime, I must steer clear of all the spoilers I can. Sigh.
