ALL MEN ARE BLUE!!

*giggles at Zan*

Everyone's doing this interview thing. So, if there's anyone out there who wants an answer from me, ask me a question. Or six. Or eleventy billion. Well, not eleventy billion. I'm really not expecting many people to ask. I've done this sort of thing before and got the LJ equivalent of *crickets chirp*. So go ahead. Do your worst. I'll answer. Unless I really don't want to, then I'll distract your attention with something shiny.

I'm so tempted to just delete this post. I have a sudden feeling of foreboding...

My ideal meal. Hmm....

First entree: vietnamese rice paper rolls. Yummy.

Next is the soup. I choose chicken and corn soup; the one where the chicken is still visible as little stringy bits, and the soup isn't as opaque as normal chicken soups. I've had pumpkin soup a little too much recently, and C&C is slightly lighter, leaving room for later.

For the final entree, I choose the standard three-dip thing they serve in Mexican restaurants: guacamole (lessthanthree for guacamole!), bean dip, and chili con carne dip. I'm less than enamoured with bean dip, but it's not bad, and hey, the ideal meal would be shared with other people, right? Also, instead of your standard dodgy-Mexican-restaurant-half-stale corn chips, we'd have lovely crisp ones. With lots of salt.

Phew. I should have been born about a hundred years ago... but then, no Mexican or Vietnamese food. :(

So. On to main course.

I propose a chicken extravaganza: chicken with cashew nuts (ala restaurants. You know the one, with the comparatively bland sauce. So much love for chickenwithcashews), chicken tacos (I only ever have them at restaurants, thus making them special), Chris' chicken shepherd's pie (the only one I'll eat, because he puts curry powder, and lots of mushrooms, and breadcrumbs or similar instead of cheese), and maybe even a small serving of veal parmigiana. Which isn't chicken. Let's pretend that you didn't notice that.

On the side: the yummy spicy rice you get at my local Mexican place, or maybe the stuff you get at Nando's (the spicy rice I make is just never the same); roast pumpkin and potatoes; corn, zucchini and carrots cooked with rosemary, and some of those scalloped potatoes.

Never say I do things by halves.

Finally, and somewhat importantly: dessert. I propose mousse. Lashings thereof. Toblerone chocolate mousse (milk chocolate) and strawberry. Maybe a bit of vanilla icecream as an aside.

Then we shall all retreat into the drawing room, where we shall have absinthe.

Mmm. My mouth is watering in anticipation.

[livejournal.com profile] alanafish, who was just making trouble. I can tell.

1) Why are there so many memes floating around on LJ? Where did they come from? What purpose do they serve? Do these four questions count as one?
Because of a glitch in the matrix; there are less real people than you think. Programs are less capable of independant thought than real people.
The same place spam comes from. Someone who just wants to make trouble and/or has far too much time on his/her hands. Some of them are actually programs in their own right, and have cross-multiplied; they are the viruses of LJ, in the same way that language or fads are viruses.
They can serve several purposes: to entertain, to weed out the "real" people from the programs, and to prove that I really am Brian Molko from Placebo, deep down.
Sinople.

2) What's your most horrific food related incident?
Hmm. I haven't had any horrific ones... and believe me, I'm racking my brain. My dad's friend once ate so much wasabi on her sushi (before she knew of its l33t powers) that she passed out. Let's pretend that happened to me. I think passing out would be cool. <- this probably says a lot about me.

3) If you were a song (music only, not the lyrics) what would you be and why?
Music only? DAMN YOU!! Otherwise I could have said Adam's Song, for its mixture of the happy (music) and the sad (lyrics).
So music. Hmm.
How about Lestat's [danceofsomedescription] from the Interview with the Vampire soundtrack? It's got that wonderful manicness, while being old-fashioned (and we know about my preference for fashion and some spellings) and groovy.

4) Does anyone use tea cozies anymore?
In Uganda they are used for fertility rites involving the umbilical cord of the mother and three seeds from a certain tree.

5) What's the most bizarre thing that's ever happened to you?
Again, I'm not a big one for having strange things happen to me. I'm more the cause of them in other people.
*thinks* Actually having had two boys bet on which one would take me out. That's fighting, of a sort. And I ain't that stunning... I blame their being in a boys school with naught to compare to.
