I have my driving test at 9.10am tomorrow morning, and my instructor is picking me up at 7.30am, an ungodly hour.

In other news, I ordered a new pair of glasses today, made enquiries about contact lenses (not until I can come up with $100 for the consultation fees) and sent off aabashenya's letter. Reasonably productive, considering I also managed to get home in time to cook dinner.

Started working on the "Drive Smart" CD which is released by the TAC (Transport Accident Commission) to help learner drivers. Rather late, I'll admit. I must say that they need videos in significantly higher resolution. It's quite frustrating not noticing one of their hazards because it's only a few pixels big.

heh, my drive smart cd locked up after not very long.

I'm lucky in a not so lucky way - my eyes are soo different that medicare pays for the contact lense consult (left eye is currently -6 in glasses,right is -2)

As far as I know, Medicare will pay for your contact lens consultation. That's what the woman at Merringtons said. However, they'll only pay for the first one, and Merringtons does it over a few consultations.

I don't really pay attention -all i know is I haven't paid for a consultation yet, only paid for my lenses.

There's an Optometrist at our Doctor's that bulk bills, FYI.

Most optometrists bulk bill. I also didn't need my eyes tested because I did that last year and Medicare only covers you for one test every n years.
