That's the point. Avril sucks. She is not punk. People who go around saying "That's so punk rawk!" are usually fashion drones who are following the current pseudo-punk trends. I'm tired and not making sense.
Btw, I was listening to Skater Boy the other day (as you do when the radio's on and there's ads on the other channel you have programmed).
And really . . . ok, this is my interpretation of her message: "You dumped a skater boy, but now he's a fabulously wealthy rock star, so you shouldn't have done it. Haha."
Two problems with this: 1. she's advocating taking someone's wealth into account when pondering relationships (and given that she's all posh and stuff, she probably knows lots of rich boys, but these would be well-educated rich boys) 2. saying "cya later boy" to a skater boy is something to be encouraged IMO :P

Date: 2002-11-20 03:57 pm (UTC)I was under the impression that she was more try-hard punk rock ANYWAY.
I reckon that's a misuse of the pseudo-word "rawk", too.

Anyway, much though I agree, I don't know enough about either Avril or punk rock to comment meaningfully, so I'll stop pretending now. *coughs*
