I think I'm definitely taking a year off next year. When it's impossible to get up in the morning because all you've got to do is uni work and it feels like it'll never end, and you half-seriously think of slashing your wrists to get out of it, it's time to take a little time off.

Next year: a crappy job, cello lessons, more theatre, the band and lots of writing. Here's hoping it all works out well.




Nat, I think you'll want to read this. It's H/D goodness, and they have this wonderful Xander/Cordelia type vibe. Mrow.

I would recommend considering part-time. If you stop studying, and start working, then you really won't want to go back. The beauty of work is that you generally don't need to think nearly as much, and you can stop worrying about it when you go home at the end of the day. That, and they pay you.

I've considered part-time. I'm still tossing things up, but I've already tried reducing my workload and it's done diddly-squat in terms of my motivation.

Well my advice would be to also move closer to uni. It's amazing how much more work you get done when you don't have to spend so much time travelling. I also find that not living with family gives me more incentive to stay at home and do some study there, but that's just me. If you don't go home on a regular basis, it's hard to get *any* study done, let's face it.

Ooh, I like the website. It's all sparkly and informative and such. Tiny nitpickynesses: the link to WIN on here and the links to BMB on here are broken, there's a typo in acknowledgements on the front page, and maybe it's a cute idea to turn the '(first) appears' dates in the cast section into links, but the latter bit is just me being lazy. I'm sorry, I have one of my annoying beta moods today where I do nothing but spotting errors.
