Don't get me started on pseudo-punks... I don't consider myself having the musical knowledge or fashion style to be punk, but I'll defend them to the death.

Nys and I spent five minutes bagging Avril, her clothes, and her use of language ("sk8er boi"?? What drugs is she on??). Hn...fun times.

Really, though, she is so incredibly prissy. And wearing a tie? Please. That was me in 2000. I went to the MHS formal in a tie. You're two years behind the trends, Avril honey!



(Although, according to Quizilla [because we know that's a totally reliable source], I'm a regular, average, good-times punk kid. There ya go.)

I read an article on her (wish I knew where that was...) that explained rationally what was wrong with Avril and why she wasn't punk. That was the first I heard of her.

Then I saw the Sk8ter Boi film clip. *shudder*

Anyway, the article is somewhere in sandradelete's archives over the last three or four months, at most, if you're interested enough to track it down.

Avril really isn't my definition of punk.

I've written some punk music based on the simple punk principles....but unfortunately I've got a choir trained voice....which really means I can't pull the whole punk thing off!

As for the ties, I love ties and wish I could wear them more often without looking like a total tool. I also really like the classic gangster hats, very jazzy....I wouldn't wear for punk styles though.
