I've just had the first relaxing Saturday in a very long time.

Tonight I started work on next year's diary. I wanted to use a different border from last year's, but I couldn't find anything remotely suitable or pleasant (at least without a fee). So I started drawing one. This is the first time in quite a while that I've drawn something. It looks really awesome, too – just like I wanted, and very art nouveau. It has a lotus in one corner, and stars in the top (for the akhu), and a seven-pointed star-like design as the basis for my divider (for Seshat).

Now I've done the first draft it's off to my light box with a ruler so that my "straight" lines aren't wandering all over the page! Then once the drawing is completed I get to do some of the fun work – a shortlist of the festivals I want to include.

How do you print it?

I remember from last year you were doing this and I'm all inspired now to do one for me.

What program do you use to assemble it/ format it and how do you get it printed?

Your last years one was gorgeous!

I used InDesign. You could use Quark XPress, too. I took it to Officeworks. I'm thinking about different options for this year.

Thank you.
