I haven't updated for awhile, and I didn't even notice (much), because I've been updating Reynard's Feast like a madwoman. I still have Indonesian Tempeh, Nettle Soup and Golden Lasagne to type up. I'm trying to get them up while the foods are still in season, so I should get those up in the next week or so.
I'm still working on The Design Book From Hell. It's frustrating, because every time I think I'm nearly done, the finish line gets moved back a few metres. Guess I'm not going to get that other book completely finished this week (not that I thought I would).
Crap, I've just remembered that I was planning on getting in to work in an hour (in case the author drops by to sign off), which means I need to leave now. Well, actually I was going to get in at 10, but that's completely unrealistic.
Dammit, I'm no damn good in the morning!
Also, I really like Tori Amos' new song "Big Wheel", but it is very earwormy and then gets stuck in my brainmeats.

Date: 2007-06-13 01:17 am (UTC)That's funny, because I ran into Nicolette on Grattan St, near Lygon, a month or so ago. (I don't think she recognised me.) As far as I know, I haven't published any recipes, but I wrote an article on vegan food blogs for Aduki's last issue. Pretty cool that she liked it!
I'm pleased! You'll have to tell me how you go - I'm so fascinated how other people fare with my recipes.
What's your thesis on?
It's not too bad. I'll be really pleased when this design book's done!

Date: 2007-06-13 03:38 am (UTC)My thesis is about gentrification in Northcote - I am looking at a squat residence which closed down when the council re-zoned the street it was on as a 'creative community'. Should be relatively straight forward but ... it isn't!! I manage to make it complicated.
Design book eh?! I can imagine that would be a bit of a bitch with all the pictures etc? I am at work now, design is a section which just does not move, mostly people buy books about ... world war two (snore).

Date: 2007-06-15 10:39 am (UTC)Hmm. Interesting. What's your field?
Yeah, it was. At least I didn't have to design all of it. Just fix all the broken bits ... which was a lot of it.
