Aug. 18th, 2006 11:34 amI didn't get the job at Oxbridge. I didn't even get to the second round of interviews.
It looks like we're not going to get the house, either. The owner, despite having two applications, wants to put it back on the market to have more people to choose from.
This is probably a good thing, considering I won't be getting the Oxbridge job.
I could cry, really I could.

Date: 2006-08-18 03:21 am (UTC)I don't know if it's any help to you, but I'm looking for housemates - though in Boronia, might be too far out for you both. cher.the.muse at gmail if you want to talk about it.

Date: 2006-08-18 10:25 am (UTC)But when you apply for the next place, I'd consider applying as a single couple. Ask Hedda and Liam to apply, and you guys go in 'off the record' i.e. the landlords don't know you're sharing. It looks a lot more ordinary to have one couple living together than two, and despite the fact that their finciancial ability to pay the rent would be lower, I bet they'd stand a better chance ofgetting a place. It's weird, but it's just the way it is. Landlords (and Landladies) are judgemental old fuddy duddies.
