I just burnt my knee. I rested the bottom of the teapot (the one that has been sitting over a tealight to keep it hot - do not underestimate the heating power of the tealight) on it for a moment. The middle of the burn is turning white. I have a wet facewasher resting on it, as I am not flexible or tall enough to put it under the kitchen sink (yes, I could probably go to the bathroom, but I am too lazy).

Fuck.

Edit: Erm, that white spot forming a kind of blister which then pops and kinda weeps a bit is probably bad, right? Er.

Well, it's certainly going to be painful and you'll need to keep it clean and dressed (a large band-aid will be fine if it's big enough) so it doesn't get infected. Also drink plenty of water. So you're going to have to go and put it under a tap in the bathroom, damn your lazy eyes.

Take care, all right?

I don't think it was burnt that badly. It looks like the sort of raw skin you get when you rub the heel of your feet raw with new shoes. Suspect it may scar like a bastard, though.

I'm perfectly fine, really. But thanks.

yeah, thats not so good, keep putting antiseptic stuff on it and keep it bandaged.

Try and get all the weepy gunk out too if you can.

*hugs*

It's all good. I think the water I had on it soaked into the skin, and that was what broke out. It's a bit raw, but I don't think it was badly burnt.

You've just cooked yourself some human flesh. mmm.

If you have any sort of ointment (oh dear god not deep heat) like Aloe Vera put some of that under a waterproof bandaid, an ice block on top of that feels good too.
