Contact info for me would be my LJ username @gmail.com.

The Rules.
Step One

- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread. (I don't think I've seen that post, so I can't link...sorry.)

Step Two

- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

The Sensible Part.
1. Comics. Any of the Preacher series is safe as I have none. Or League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Or any Ellis/Ennis/Morrison/Gaiman/Moore type comics that came out this year as I've been TOO POOR TO BUY THEM WOE.
1.1 By the bye, I have found my two Amazon wishlists. They actually have different stuff on them because I lost the password to the amazon.com one so started a .co.uk one, but then found the password again. Just ... don't ask.
2. Books. 'Specially the ones I cannae get here easily, such as Gothic! Ten Original Dark Tales by Deborah Noyes (ed), Pedestrian Wolves by James L. Grant, No Plot! No Problem! by Chris Baty or any of Catherynne M. Valente's work. (ed: see 1.1)
3. Musik. Dresden Dolls or Rasputina, as I have neither. Or Dallas Crane's latest. Or Vast's latest, come to that. Or any Voltaire that's not Almost Human or the black covered one ... with the picture of his face as Satan. You know. I've just gone blank and can't find it in my CD collection. *headdesk*
4. The NaNoWriMo shirt "Salute" from here in Unisex, size Medium.
5. Bath gel, or similar. Whatever. I like woody smells, and spicy smells like cinnamon, and sharper smells like citrus or peppermint.
6. Candles. Any sort. Just lots of them. I'm too damn poor to buy lots, and this has been the first time I don't at least have a stockpile of tapers. This is mostly because I am using them a lot more. I'd say "no frou-frou shit", but then you guys should know that about me, anyway.
7. Mail. Letters, postcards, cards, notes, anything. I love mail.
8. OMGOMGOMG DRESDEN DOLLS TICKETS.
9. As per #8 in list below, does anyone want to help me/teach me how to make my own corset? After Christmas, of course, so I can afford and justify the purchase of materials.
10. To meet up with LJ friends in my (approximate) area. Especially [livejournal.com profile] darketherdream, who I would like to visit in Sydney. Or have her come here. Or both. And also [livejournal.com profile] roshi. We once talked about catching a movie at the Astor. I'd still like to do that.
11. Oh, and knee-high stripey socks. Some combination of white, grey and black for preference, although colour is good too.

The FUN part!
1. CRAVATS. And you can get them in different colours! Like claret, aubergine, antique copper, ice blue, tartan green, silver or pearl grey. (Although why they don't have a wider non-red colour range is beyond me.) Cravat pins. (Although it seems to me that your standard florist's pearl-headed pin works fine.)
2. HOLY FUCKING GOD. That pocketwatch? In silver? One day I will own one just like it. Or possibly SIX. Because that is the epitome of pocketwatchness that I would ever want to have.
3. Ooh. I want eyeglasses just like these. Those top ones, there. With the hexagonal frames. And I would have two pairs - one for distance and one for reading. And my distance pair would have coloured lenses. Which would be green. And I possibly a pair or two of pince-nez, hard fit, with I believe a 16mm bridge. (Why don't opticians sell this sort of stuff in their regular range? Honestly!) Because if you're going to have glasses, you might as well make them a feature. This website's actually really interesting: did you know that monocles would be custom made for each individual?
I want new glasses. Especially since my old frames, pretty though they are, have now become SO DEFORMED that they fall off my face. Here's a tip: Don't EVER shop at Merrington's. Ever. EVER.
4. Eine cane (or eine Stock, as [google tells me] the Germans say). Not merely because it's a charming affectation, but because I have weak ankles that sometimes go on me for no good reason. Of course, being the sort of person I am, I would really like a sword cane. Unfortunately, I strongly suspect that those are illegal in my country (strangely enough), at least for carrying around. So it is a shame that the best damn cane I have ever seen anywhere (D215 - Royal Sword Cane) is a sword cane. Maybe I could just glue the parts together? Or something. Man, that's a pretty cane. And it's CHEAP. What's wrong with it? Why is it so cheap? I don't understand!
5. New dress boots. I still have my old ones, but the soles were dancing shoe weight and they have worn through. But holybejeebusfuck, they have a new style which actually looks like the sole is far more durable. Want these. Want them badly.
And it'll take me awhile to save up, dammit. Still. Beeeeautiful.
6. MORE CORSETS. I'd like an overbust and an underbust. My current corset's looking a bit worse for wear and I want a couple of new ones. A decorative corset'd be nice, especially as I can wear it as a waistcoat, but I'd also be happy with a plain, under-clothing one.
7. At least one other frock coat. Of this approximate style ('Old Style').
8. Hell, if we're talking about clothing covetousness, Gallery Serpentine's under- and overbust corsets are certainly what I'm getting when I have money. Not to mention their Victorian Styled skirts. (I favour the bottle-green satin, of course - heaven forbid one get the PVC! Urgh.)

Wow, that was disproportionately fun. Especially the second list. Mm, covetousness for things I shall never have. :D!
Also, I am not admitting how many Pixy Stix I have had today, as it is far too embarrassing.

Thanks. I'll do that. (Just not right now, as am leaving for work shortly.)
