My DTP teacher is mocking me for being easily amused and giggling at the fact that his computer SPEAKS.
I am SHOCKED.

"Back in my day we were lucky if we had a computer that COULDN'T speak! If it had a modem and a mouse and a keyboard, we were lucky!"
"Of course, I didn't have a computer at all! I had to use a pocket calculator!"
"Solar-powered?"
"Yeah."
"You were lucky. I had to make do with an abacus!"
"I had to write everything down on paper. With a pencil. That broke A LOT. And no sharpener! I had to use a penknife to whittle the point back on!"

Was it a mac?
My mac is setup to tell me who's come online in my IM program, as well as telling me who's just messaged me, so if I'm away from my computer or the screensaver is on I can tell who's on and talking to me. I find it quite handy really.
