Date: 2004-10-18 07:16 am (UTC)I had some in a cranberry martini the other night, and can't say I'm a particular fan. Tasted too much like gin for me.
Not drunk at ALL. I could probably stand up if I tried.
Date: 2004-10-18 07:21 am (UTC)If it tasted like gin, sirrah, then it was INFERIOR ABSINTHE and ought to be shot at the stake. Um. Thingie.
I recall my friend Mickey (almost said best friend haha, not quite that intimate) bought some absinthe and I bought some absinthe and we tried them both on the night of his hauswarming, and his tasted like cleaning fluid, while mine tasted like MANNA FROM THE GODS. The difference is he bought Czech absinthe, and I bought German, having both read reviews of Czech absinthe and basing my judgement beyond that in its label, which was picturesque and Victorianish.

Although I still think that there's something wrong with you if you didn't get organised enough to send out copperplate invitations to this spontaneous drinking session! =P
