A Day in Dot-Point
Jul. 12th, 2004 11:41 pmToday I:
Also found out that Jess's grandfather died during the hols, also creepy mildly-paedophilic ex-Maths teacher from MacRob is dead with complications arising from diabetes. Feel somewhat bad. Didn't like him much, but he wasn't that bad either. He was a bit creepy. Am getting somewhat creeped out by the amount of death going on one or two degrees separate from myself.
Also, no one at school understands how damn hard I am on myself regarding results. They all seem to regard my Novel mark as suitable (Jess and I got the same mark. Har har), whereas I see it as proof that I'm letting down the side, and can't stop worrying about it. See? I can either not care at all, or I care too much. I have no in-between.
(By the way, Steph? Jess wants to see the Stepford Wives, so do you want to come and see it with us?)
This is the first non-me-made icon in aaaaaages. I'm just in love with it. Art by

Hedda arrives on Wednesday. I can barely believe it.
ETA: Today's Something Positive makes me laugh for this line alone: "I think Aubrey's borderline psychotic, but if there's one thing she's good at, it's letting people know how she feels about them. Loudly." Steph knows why.
- Got insulted with compliments by my novel teacher (You know the sort: "I know you're an intelligent person, which is why I think this is beneath shit.").
- Remembered why I hate my short story class
- Locked my keys in the car (thankfully at home, where this is easily remedied)
- Began to read Moving Pictures for the first time in years
- Admired the matched boots of a cute girl who I happened to sit opposite on the train
- Was told by Jess that Steph and I are "frighteningly alike".

But I ~*do not*~ want to talk about a certain theme of topic, because I am about to go out of my mind. Do you want to go next week some time?
