OMG, the Phantom teaser is up! And squee!!

Too tired for anything else. Except I finally saw yesterday's Black Books tonight. "Dirty." It had me in fits of laughter.

Oh, and 'twas nice to talk to [livejournal.com profile] weaselbeast today, brief though it was.

Ah! I keep remembering scenes from it and laughing at really inappropriate times. It was just entirely insanely hilarious.

Friday is suddenly my favourite day! yee!

I hate you.

I've been loathing practically every piece of info I've been getting from this film.. but listening to "Track Down This Murderer"....

I'm getting goosebumps again... I must go listen to my.. erm... personal recordings.... ehem.

*nods* I'd only had half an ear for gossip, and hadn't liked what I'd heard. But the trailer looked exceedingly nifty, to my eyes. Very like how I imagined the musical, only well, you know, movieish. They have the space for putting everything in that normally one only hints at when staging such a thing.

I still plan on walking into the theatre expecting to be disappointed, because that's the only way I'll enjoy it.

I think so too.. At least the music sounds good.. and the sets etc look suitable for a movie.

I suppose I miss the lushness Maria Bjornson created...

A-HA!

*nods* I know what you mean, but at least it seemed realistic; in keeping with the backstage world of the theatre rather than doing a Baz Luhrmann and saying "I'm telling you a story. Trust me."

In other words, they don't seem to have *completely* fucked it up...

I loved "Phantom of the Opera" as a child. I read the original story when I was in year 5 or 6, and I really enjoyed it, and I practically memorised the musical. I hope the movie doesn't ruin it.
