Feb. 8th, 2004 11:21 pmI so have to put this in my journal, because I'm never going to hear the like again:
Hmm.. yeah, so delirieuse was there, and she is the ultimate in *cool*. She knew so much about everything, and her hair is purple and blue. - from
wickedcherub (My bold)
Hehehe. I am so teh kewl.
Moving right along.
Steph came over Saturday night, and we picked up A Fish Called Wanda (which she hadn't seen before), A Midsummer Night's Dream ("But... this is a video shop. We don't have plays!") and Nightmare Before Christmas. Fish Called Wanda was, of course, great. Spiffy. Fantabulosa. Midsummer Night's Dream was also surprisingly good. Nightmare Before Christmas was a bit eh. The world was great, the animation was great, but it just felt a bit hollow, as if they'd adapted a book for screen, or they'd had to (for budget reasons) change a miniseries' worth of plot into a movie. It was a bit disappointing.
Afterwards, we sat around outside and talked about everything until about half-past seven, once again proving the old equation that Steph + Dani != Sleep.
Today we headed into the city and watched Big Fish with Liam. It was far better than I'd feared, and I think it broke all of us by the end. I really liked it.
I'm utterly buggered from lack of sleep, so I think it's bedtime now. G'night.
