Ohgodi'msotired.

Stayed at Steph's last night, as a pure spur-of-the-moment thing. We talked about stuff, and lots of it, including the secret conspiracy planning to overthrow capitalism and replace it with a class system where we will all be judged by the quality of our potato peeler ("But Mother! I need the contours!"), and the way our dehydrated bodies treat water like an extraneous prop after the run of a show. ("I can't find a drawer for it! [...] Ah, never mind, give it to one of the actors to take home.") We also talked about some of my stupid paranoias I haven't wanted to talk to anyone else about, and she set my mind at rest about a few points. Sometimes just talking stuff through helps, because it forces you to work it out in your own mind. We also talked about Chocolat (the book, not the movie), which Steph feels quite passionate about, so she loaned me her copy. *grins* It looks quite interesting, actually.

We laughed a lot. We didn't get much sleep, though. We started being sensible and trying to sleep at about six AM. Eeble.

Steph + Dani + same room != sleep.

Got lots done yesterday. I unenrolled from Melbourne, enquired about the theatre tech position, picked up Swan Sister from the bookstore (I had it ordered in a month or so ago) and spent my Minotaur voucher from Bek (thanks sweeting!). Besides Swan Sister, I also purchased (with the aforementioned voucher) a Grant Morrison book called The Mystery Play, and issues five and six of 1602. The only one I'm missing is issue 2. My copies of 3 and 4 aren't as obsessively neat as I usually keep them, either, because Liam gave me his issues when he was done with them. I think he said that if I got my own copies I could just give him back his, and he'd give them to someone else, maybe... I really don't remember. It was about 3AM at the time.

I also contacted La Mama about My Life As A Dyke, but the tickets for the rest of the run are already sold out. Ho hum.

Ergh. So tired I can't form a thingie. Cohesive sentence. Cohesive? Coherent. That's the saucepan. Need sleep. Catch you all on the rebound, or something.

It wasn't McKean, but it was beautiful artwork. Absolute mindfuck, though. I felt like I was entering the madness of the main character.
