My New Year's: A Summary.

Firstly: Bill, have you received my package? Because Buhfly has got hers already, and I sent hers the day after yours. *frets*
Secondly: I'm leaving for New South Wales for just over a week, and so I shall be scarcely online. I know you shall all miss me; miss me as you do your genital herpes.
JRR Tolkien must have been on drugs when he wrote The Hobbit. There's no other excuse for *those* elves. Doubtful Salmon and ToComfortYou's discussion on the subject is also very amusing. It is so funny, if only for its merciless taunting of Legolas. Ah, that's one of my favourite pastimes.
Love Actually was actually quite good. Colour me surprised.
We had fun at Saxon's. I had my yearly "I'm going to die ALOOOOOONE", which always happens around midnight New Year's Eve. Just once, I'd like to have someone to snog senseless into the New Year. Apparently this is as unlikely as my suddenly getting rich enough to never have to work again. Possibly because am total geek, but aren't geeks supposed to be cool this millenium? I have social skills. Dammit, isn't Bill Gates married? Admittedly he's richer than I am. Dammit, Wil Wheaton's married! O'course, he's cute and with a far more popular blog than mine. There must be some key I'm missing here.
It's amazing what a little sleep does for one's cheerfulness levels. Really. You should try it some time.
Grasshoppers are excellent drinks.
Saxon's band is surprisingly good. They can also write songs, the bastards. Good songs. We hates them. We hates them forever. I got to babysit the sound desk. That was fun. (Note lack of sarcasm.) I only wish John had his fucking guitar patched through the sound desk, because he had it up way too fucking loud through both their sets. Fucktard.
That's right, we had live fucking music at our New Year's. And it was good.
Fucktard remains an excellent word. I nominate it as best word of 2003.
Now I go to get sleep so I can go xbox at Chris's this afternoon. Ah, xboxing and Halo. A proud New Year's Day tradition since last year.
