Don't mind me, I was just getting all thingie about the way that I'm never on anyone's list when it comes to those stupid memes, you know, "Favourite person for 2003!" or whatever. It's discouraging. So I decided to poke a bit of fun at myself and quote from Transmet.
I always feel vaguely guilty when people respond to these posts, as if I'm asking for the attention. I'm really not.
I'm not a meme person at the best of times, but I really, REALLY hate those memes. I'm never on them. I'm not exaggerating trying to get some pity here; I'm never on them. That just gets depressing. And then, if I comment in my journal about them, the person gets all defensive and angry, because she/he thinks I'm angry or offended. I'm not. I'm just sad, and tired of being looked over all the damn time. I don't do those memes, because I know it hurts more people than it makes feel special.
