Nov. 14th, 2003 09:07 pmRadish? I think yours and my fate lines must be entertwined... today hated me too.
Erg. Too damn hot, unpleasantness from so many people on so many fronts, and not even close to enough sleep. Currently I hate the world.

Date: 2003-11-14 02:35 am (UTC)And now, on a severely truncated awareness (as it's November and I'm not keeping up with everybody) I can list offhand at least five people having issues right now. ...mine are nothing, compared to most of them, but it's still a pattern.

Date: 2003-11-14 04:06 am (UTC)I'll be shopping for my da's birthday present. Am probably free after that.

Date: 2003-11-14 04:11 am (UTC)Not at Chadstone, I hope!
If you have the option, I highly highly highly recommend shopping on Monday instead.
Chadstone this close to Christmas on a Sunday always puts me in a foul mood. 30 minutes looking for a park. Wading through crowds of hot, annoyed people . . . not worth the stress.
Even better, online shopping! Whee!

Date: 2003-11-15 04:01 am (UTC)His birthday's Monday. Hmm. He's a geek. Do you have suggestions that don't involve me going via Chadstone? You can come and help, if you want...

Date: 2003-11-15 08:07 am (UTC)For relatively affordable stuff (read <$50) my picks would be keychain LED lights, swiss army knives and funky kitchen gear.
If you reckon an electronic gadget of some kind might be good, try:

(or go to www.dicksmith.com.au and look at gifts & gadgets if that link doesn't work).
There's a dick smith powerhouse on dandenong road just near monash caulfield. Parking there should be less of a stress than Chadstone, and they list which items are in stock on the website.
I don't know your Dad at all well though, so maybe these aren't useful suggestions.

Date: 2003-11-16 05:14 am (UTC)I slept in today, drove to Chadstone and thought, shit! I didn't check to see what Chris suggested! Then idly wondered if there was somewhere were I could check LJ.
I ended up getting him a book. *facepalm*

;-)
I'm pretty sure they have internet kiosks at Chadstone, but then again maybe not.

Y'know, I have no idea whatsoever who you are, but Dani's really confusing me by referring to a Radish that isn't me ;-)
Not that she knows me as a Radish, since I'm the Radish in different circles . . .

Date: 2003-11-14 03:53 am (UTC)I'm decidedly non-creepy most of the time. You could ask delirieuse . . .
Humm. Well, when I started MUDding (a MUD (Multi-User Dungeon) being an online text-based RPG) I started using Radish in my title, and it stuck.

Date: 2003-11-14 04:11 am (UTC)*pesters the Mummy* Is they creepy? They don't seem creepy. ... mwahahaa...multi comment usage. XD
Hee. I knew that MUD was a type of RPG, but you're the first person to define it for me. Thankee.
Now, the real question... Are you a canibal and eat radishes on your salad or in other dishes? *grin*

Date: 2003-11-14 04:16 am (UTC)Well, I'm the person to define MUDs ;-). I got so addicted that I started my own. I'm not addicted anymore, in fact I never play it now, but I still tinker with it from time to time . . .
Yes, I am a cannibal. Nothing's tastier than a nice, chilled radish on a hot summer day. I'm sure the other radish doesn't mind being eaten, either, once it sees the pleasure I take in it . . .

Date: 2003-11-14 04:36 am (UTC)Tinkering is fun. =D
Mwahahaha... May we never meet in person. =3 I'm a canibal too and that couldn't be a good combination.

Date: 2003-11-14 04:48 am (UTC)Oo! Or a Totoro!
Hmm. Two hungry and delicious cannibal radishes face each other. How do they decide which goes in the salad and which wields the fork?

Date: 2003-11-14 05:08 am (UTC)I could force my makurokuroske to either shovel coal or lead me to Totoro, and then reward it with a handful of candy stars at the end of each day!
Fittest . . . no longer, sadly :(
I don't get any exercise at all these days, literally.
Still, if it's fighting for the right to dine on a radish I might be motivated enough to overcome my lack of fitness . . .
