Radish? I think yours and my fate lines must be entertwined... today hated me too.

Erg. Too damn hot, unpleasantness from so many people on so many fronts, and not even close to enough sleep. Currently I hate the world.

Honestly? I somtimes wonder about fate lines. Lots of people I know get sick at the same time, have significant life issues at the same time and...y'know, people on different continents really shouldn't be having their periods cycle together. (one or three I could understand, but either the last month or the month before, it was about twelve that I knew...)

And now, on a severely truncated awareness (as it's November and I'm not keeping up with everybody) I can list offhand at least five people having issues right now. ...mine are nothing, compared to most of them, but it's still a pattern.

I'm a Radish too, and I had a majorly sucky day also.
Coincidence?

Incidentally, our Xboxing room is delightfully cool right now.
Coincidence? I think not ;-)

Well, playing Halo has got to beat sitting around all day on your elbow, anyway ;-)

No stress either way, as long as I have a bit of notice.

*snerks* Well, precisely.

I'll be shopping for my da's birthday present. Am probably free after that.

Yikes!
Not at Chadstone, I hope!
If you have the option, I highly highly highly recommend shopping on Monday instead.
Chadstone this close to Christmas on a Sunday always puts me in a foul mood. 30 minutes looking for a park. Wading through crowds of hot, annoyed people . . . not worth the stress.

Even better, online shopping! Whee!

Except. Exc-ept...

His birthday's Monday. Hmm. He's a geek. Do you have suggestions that don't involve me going via Chadstone? You can come and help, if you want...

A geek can never have too many geek toys.
For relatively affordable stuff (read <$50) my picks would be keychain LED lights, swiss army knives and funky kitchen gear.

If you reckon an electronic gadget of some kind might be good, try:
http://www.dse.com.au/cgi-bin/dse.filereader?3fb64ae40b45f1b8273fc0a87f9c0756+EN/catalogs/CTG0001144
(or go to www.dicksmith.com.au and look at gifts & gadgets if that link doesn't work).
There's a dick smith powerhouse on dandenong road just near monash caulfield. Parking there should be less of a stress than Chadstone, and they list which items are in stock on the website.

I don't know your Dad at all well though, so maybe these aren't useful suggestions.

Are you kidding? With our kitchen full of thingies like breadmakers, pasta makers, about three different coffee-related machines, ice shavers, donut makers... the list does continue.

I slept in today, drove to Chadstone and thought, shit! I didn't check to see what Chris suggested! Then idly wondered if there was somewhere were I could check LJ.

I ended up getting him a book. *facepalm*

Radish power!
I'd say we'd inherit the Earth, but we already rule it with an iron fist (in a velvet glove. purple velvet).

Y'know, I have no idea whatsoever who you are, but Dani's really confusing me by referring to a Radish that isn't me ;-)

Not that she knows me as a Radish, since I'm the Radish in different circles . . .

Date: 2003-11-14 03:44 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] billradish.livejournal.com
Heee! You're the only other radish I've ever met who didn't immediately strike me as severely creepy. o_O So this is nice. What circles are you the Radsh in? =P So long as you also don't also call yourself Bill, I won't have to worry that I've accidentally cloned myself. >_>

Hmm. Ever met the Radish Spirit? If not, I'll have to make an lj icon of him so you can check him out.

I'm decidedly non-creepy most of the time. You could ask delirieuse . . .

Humm. Well, when I started MUDding (a MUD (Multi-User Dungeon) being an online text-based RPG) I started using Radish in my title, and it stuck.

...not unless you're talking from the movie Spirited Away. In which case I have missed seeing him in the film twice, but now own a plushie. ^^;

*pesters the Mummy* Is they creepy? They don't seem creepy. ... mwahahaa...multi comment usage. XD

Hee. I knew that MUD was a type of RPG, but you're the first person to define it for me. Thankee.

Now, the real question... Are you a canibal and eat radishes on your salad or in other dishes? *grin*

Date: 2003-11-14 04:16 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] dorukai.livejournal.com
Spirited away indeed! We watched it again last week. Oo! Also, we own the set of keychain plushies, which includes: a soot spirit, the bird, the mouse, the radish spirit, no face and a bird spirit.

Well, I'm the person to define MUDs ;-). I got so addicted that I started my own. I'm not addicted anymore, in fact I never play it now, but I still tinker with it from time to time . . .

Yes, I am a cannibal. Nothing's tastier than a nice, chilled radish on a hot summer day. I'm sure the other radish doesn't mind being eaten, either, once it sees the pleasure I take in it . . .

From: [identity profile] billradish.livejournal.com
Yay! I need to see the movie again. I don't know how I keep missing that guy. ^^; I'd love a collection of keychains, but keychain plushies and I have a bad history. XD The one I have of the radish spirit is about six inches tall. *snuggles it* ... *not really though, as it's at home and the radish is at work!*

Tinkering is fun. =D

Mwahahaha... May we never meet in person. =3 I'm a canibal too and that couldn't be a good combination.

He's the one that Sen gets squished in the lift with. He's less a normal radish and more one of those bloody huge, white, hairy Japanese radishes, with a red hat. I'd love a giant makurokuroske (soot spirit) toy :) :)
Oo! Or a Totoro!

Hmm. Two hungry and delicious cannibal radishes face each other. How do they decide which goes in the salad and which wields the fork?

Date: 2003-11-14 04:55 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] billradish.livejournal.com
Daikon! ^_^ You're not the only one who'd love a giant makurokuroske. <3 Those were just too cute...and fuzzy looking!

Survival of the fittest! Garrr... ...in which case, I should probably avoid you. ^^;

Date: 2003-11-14 05:08 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] dorukai.livejournal.com
Yep, Daikon is what I was looking for :)
I could force my makurokuroske to either shovel coal or lead me to Totoro, and then reward it with a handful of candy stars at the end of each day!

Fittest . . . no longer, sadly :(
I don't get any exercise at all these days, literally.

Still, if it's fighting for the right to dine on a radish I might be motivated enough to overcome my lack of fitness . . .
