changelingThe wedding was amazing, the bride was radiant (literally, even though this is what one is supposed to say), the wrong turn wasn't disastrous. A proper report will follow when I'm not buggered, if I can be bothered. We all know I frequently promise reports of this nature, and rarely follow through.
News:
I sprained my ankle very badly, though not quite as badly as December. Amusingly enough, I got through leading the Spiral Dance with no problems, even in heeled shoes that aren't boots over rocky ground. I stepped off the inside dance floor, which was less than an inch off the ground, and rolled it. Luckily it was towards the end of the day, and my wedding-experience certainly wasn't diminished by it. I remained in good spirits throughout, when I wasn't whimpering in pain. Unluckily, it was the other ankle (ie, not the one I sprained v. badly in December). As my "healthy" ankle is completely craptastic, it has a tendency to start aching if I spend too much time on it. Hence, I will be spending a lot of time not on my feet. I am currently using my dad's cane from his knee operations, and I need a cool cane or my own. Because dammit, his is old-grandpaish and geeky (in the bad way), and my ankles are dodgy as all buggery anyway, so I'll be getting a lot of use out of it. I want a black one with a really cool knob on the end. Snake or skull, for preference. Can anyone say predictable? I certainly can. 's why I've never needed elocution lessons.
Also, I have a replacement for my car. It's ugly, and currently smells of vomit, but seeing as the other two were volvos, had the windscreen wiper and indicator knobs on the "wrong" side of the steering wheel, and had either seats far too low or pedals that I couldn't reach (I am a short arse), it was the best choice. If all goes well, I'm getting it on Tuesday.
Aaaaaaaaand I managed to post this to a community by accident. *facepalms* I need a "stupid" icon.
