changelingWell, that was the most expensive shopping trip of my life.
Less than five minutes out of home, I skidded while trying to turn onto Princes Hwy. A 4-wheel drive completely smashed the front of my car. Totalled. I'm lucky he didn't kill me, he says. Why am I completely unconforted by this? His car doesn't have a fucking scratch.
So much for going to the US next year... or even paying my HECS. I'll be paying for this 'til I'm forty, with the rate of money accumulation I have.
My parents are going to fucking kill me.

Thanks for the offer. Maybe I'll beg a ride home next week. Getting home's always harder. I can usually get there okay, via public transport and so on.

Looks like it'll mostly turn out for the best. Except for the part where my car may be a write off. :(

Those 4-wheel drives are fucking hazards though. Apparently they're top of the list for safest car for the people inside it, and top of the list for most dangerous to other drivers . . .

My back and neck are really sore, but I doubt it's whiplash, due to the nature of the accident. It's more likely to be stress. My lower back was hurting and keeping me up last night.
