Of course, Pentheus, the king, wouldn't leave them alone, and so Dionysus' idea of a joke was to have Pentheus' mother rip his [Pentheus'] head off. She thought she'd killed a lion cub.
i have a v. good memory for the artwork of books i read at a young age. and i knew i recognised all your icons. it wasn't until i saw the moon chained up in the lost and found (right?) that i realised it was from something that i had read many times before.
