1) LJ was being a bitch last night and wouldn't allow me access to my journal, turning it read-only for "a couple of minutes" that lasted multiple hours. At least they've posted a wherefore, now. Looking for this last night though, and zilch. Grr.

2) I bought the first book of Transmetropolitan today and holymotheroffuck it's good. I want to buy the second one tomorrow. We'll see how virtuous I am.

3) "Socks are like sex. Tons of it about and I never seem to get any." - Prince George, Blackadder the Third
I bought multiple new pairs of socks today (the ubiquitous black). I also bought stripy toe socks: purple stripes, and pink and orange, because they came with the purple stripes. They are only ankle height, because the only knee height ones were yicky pastel.

4) Today was too damn long. I couldn't cope.

5) I now have a copy of Bloodsucking Fiends saved, as of yesterday. In desperation, I checked the romance bookshop where Nat and I used to get our Anita Blakes ridiculously cheap, and put it on hold. I have checked a total of eight bookshops looking for this.

6) I planned on doing stuff tonight, and I have done none of it. Am finding it hard to care. Think I will go and attempt that drawing for Zan, as don't have enough concentration to attempt to write.

7) Has National Australia Bank been turned into National America Bank? No? Then why the fuck are we (whether it be one dept or the whole bank, I don't know yet) celebrating July 4? Maybe when they celebrate Australia Day we can talk about it. And when your president isn't a buttmonkey. And getthefuck out of my microfiche room, office boy. I don't care if you don't want to be cutting out stars, either. I was planning on spending that time listening to Triple J and reading Transmetropolitan, and you made me work. Grr.

Hmm.. two more positive reviews... added to the fact that my coworker has been witnessing to me about them for weeks, and I can see a trip to the comic book store in my future!

Heh, you think celebrating July 4th is inappropriate in Australia? When it's celebrated over here in merry old england it's doubly weird... people who wouldn't crack teeth on anniversaries of our civil war, agincourt, hundred years wars, war of the roses or Trafalgar are amazingly quick to let off fire works on the 4th of July.

I hate the Fourth of July. And I hate even more that it's called Independence Day, because there's a country song by the same name that gets stuck in my head. I hate that song. I am full of hate.

With country music - I quite agree with the hate.

We call it the revolution instead and get confused looks freom people who have forgotten that the red white and blue here should be arranged into crosses not into stripes.

*prissy arrogant old country attitude activated* of course! It was entirely their loss, you know.

I personally regard it as a "thank you gods, if it weren't for the revolution - Bush would be my countryman!"
