Jun. 14th, 2003 01:20 amI rock. Nary an error in tonight's performance - not of the sort that was noticable to anyone but me, anyway. I can cope with tiny errors like those. Sam accosted me afterwards, demanding to know why I'd been walking along the catwalk in scene four - hmm, maybe because someone didn't switch the catwalk lights off, therefore ruining the later blackout in said scene? I saved your hide, Samuel.
We always swear that we'll never do another Sam show...
I went to the comics store in my lunchbreak today. They still haven't got Scars and Lady Constantine in. I was actually glad, because I'd decided I was going to buy something if they weren't in. I got two issues (possibly the only two published - not sure here) of Fillerbunny (Jhonen-Invader Zim-Squee-I Feel Sick-Johnny The Homicidal Maniac-Vasquez), and the first trade of Ruse, a book I've been eyeing off since I saw it there. I'm glad I bought it. Despite not having heard of it before (which is how I normally find my comics - word of mouth), it was enormous fun. I can't wait to buy the second trade. I know they have it in stock.
Ruse is basically a mystery series that borrows heavily from Sherlock Holmes, with a steampunk feel behind it. I can't wait to see how the series develops.
So many books, so little time/money...
