RPS is a quirky little amusement, a vaguely embarrassing hobby; like Trekking or learning Elvish, but without the redeeming social factors. Damn, but it's amusing to read occasionally though.

I was reading this amusing little Billy/Dom ficlet, and I had a spit take. I'd always considered such things to be hyperbole (n. emphasis used for effect or emphasis, frequently for comic purposes), but nooo. I had a mouthful of milk, and it ended across my monitor. My monitor's much cleaner now.



Also, am I the only person to have seen the Clash of the Titans? I saw it in year 7, and it irritated me because of the liberties they'd taken with the myths. It had Maggie Smith in it, though, as well as Harryhausen's skeletons (as per icon), so it wasn't a total loss.

Had my interview with the RMIT people today about getting into the writing and editing course. I managed to a) leave late, b) have imperfect traffic, c) get to the station in time to catch the train, except for the fact where d) I had forgotten that I had used my last trip on my 10x2 hour ticket yesterday, and not purchased a new one, e) there was another guy ahead of me in the ticket machine and so consequently f) I missed my train and so g) was twelve minutes late for my interview. Still. I did well. Now I just have to wait for the letter. Ms W-M says that if you get to the interview stage, you're good enough to get in. It's just a matter of a small number of places, and around 400 applicants. Le sigh.

I had something of some import to impart here, but I forget what it was. No doubt you're all stunned by this mood.
