Dammit, I phoned you Liam! I wanted to know if you had the BBQ Sunday, and you did. Grr.

Worked on the coat today; finished the pattern, and got most of it sewn. Just need to do the sleeves & cuffs, and sew the back panel to the front panels, and do the side seams. Hmm...and the buttons...which means I need to buy buttons. And I have to do buttonholes. *wince* And I need to get a collar pattern. Lost the old one.

Asked Mum how she'd advise that I tackle the pockets, and she bleated at me about how the type of pocket I was going to do was really difficult. Gave up, and winged it. Think they've turned out fine.

Bed now...I so planned on going to bed four hours ago. Damn you, Eudora, and your seductive mail arrangement facilities!

Sandra linked to this in her LJ. My first immediate reaction (as Av now knows full well) was "Hmph. I did that first/better"...which is a purely human reaction (one hopes) and one only expressed out loud because it's necessary to explain my train of thought.

My next thought was to dig out that old image of BMB-RHPS (Did I ever get around to posting that? Don't think I did) and redo it with my newly-found drawing skillz. Hell, the more I practise, the better I get, right?

Randomly: I thought the witch in Spirited Away, Yubaaba, might have been named for Baba Yaga, the Slavic (is that the right term?) witch of fairytales, who eats human children. Apparently the name just means "bath crone", though. Oh, well, it was an interesting theory.
