Okay, I was just starting to feel happy again. Not anymore.

Nat's pissed at me, as far as I can tell, because she's not talking about it.

I'm sorry I dyed my hair without her. I was planning on calling her last (*thinks*) Thursday so she could come to Sarah's, and we could all do it together, but I forgot until it was too late. That's my fault, and I'm sorry.

If there are more reasons why she's pissed at me, I'm sorry. I know I'm not perfect, and I never will be. That having been said, you're not going to turn around and find that I've never liked you. That isn't true. I'm not your old friends. (Hmm...I feel a bit like Davan...)

Generally feel like shit.

Owies. I'm incredibly fucking stupid, anyone ever mention?

I think I'm going to crawl into bed and work on the graphic novel, though I should be working on an assignment. *sigh*

(I'm feeling rather L'Hsseinish at the moment.)

Wow. Went looking on LJ to see if I could find a community dedicated to editing and working on comic books/graphic novels, and found an artist community.

I feel all untalented now...

Although, happily, much less depressed than before. Yay.

...the fuck?

Those of you who've been to my site know that I started to imagine Tybalt as Loki, cast the other two members of the threesome, and made a webpage design out of it. Now I see this. Now it could be coincidence, but I'm not so sure that it is. And I still think that my Loki/Tybalt is a billion times sexier.

Growl.

'Course, I'm not going to do anything about it, because blah blah not my characters, blah blah copyright doesn't extend over ideas, blah blah could be synchronicity, blah blah "In the time of steam engines, people build steam engines." Still, I'm pissed.

They didn't even get the frickin' details right for crying out loud! Hello? Where are the entrails of his dead son? Come to that, where's his fucking wife?? I did it so much better.

I'm just gonna sit over here and...learn macrame or something. Shit.

Still pissed. Grrr.

Decided to do another Nordic!Sandraverse pic, this time one of Mik/Odin. Woohoo!

Okay, here are the myths regarding Loki's binding under the earth, all the sources I have.

"Loki was thrown to the ground. He lay still; he looked at nobody and said nothing. Then the gods took three slabs of rock, stood them on end and bored a hole through each of them. They stretched Loki over them, unwound Narvi's entrails and bound him with the gut of his own son as no one had ever been bound before..." - The Norse Myths, Introduced and Retold by Kevin Crossley-Holland

"There is a cavern beneath the world. (This is true. You must know in your bones that this is true, although all logic argues against it.) There is a cavern beneath the world, and in that cavern a man is bound. In the cavern there is also a woman, and a snake. The snake is high in the darkness of the cavern, curled around an elaborate rock formation. The woman is called Sigyn. The snake has no name. The woman holds a bowl above the man's head. (Drip. Drip.) The snake's venom drips from its open mouth. It falls into the bowl. The man is bound with the entrails of his son. (Theirson.) (The woman is his wife.) The bowl fills gradually. When it is full, the woman empties it into a pit. While she is gone, the snake's venom drips onto the man's face. He twists and writhes as the poison eats into his flesh. He screams as it enters his eyes. When he writhes, the earth quakes. He curses the woman, but still she stays with him. The man. The woman. The snake. The bowl. It's not nice or pretty, but it's true. And it's necessary. It has been going on for a very long time." - Season of Mists, Neil Gaiman (writer)

Okay, I couldn't find my big-arse book on Mythology, so I'll have to leave it there. That's a pity, cos it might have given any alternative readings/versions of the myth that I've forgotten about. I'm pretty sure he's always bound with the entrails of his son, though. That's a type of ritual magic.

Hee, mythology freak. *grins*
