Well, DigitalRice seems to be working at the moment, so here's hoping Av checks while it's still being sane and actually loading the pages.

*pokes Livejournal* Look! I have a new background and thingies. Looks all purty.

Oooh! Look! Boy Meets Boy Backstory! I can't wait. I love it when Sandra does back story. Some of my favourite bits have been backstory.

We had our dress rehearsal tonight. It was...interesting. Caroline (director) and Cerise (stage manager/co-producer) and even David (sound design/op) complemented us on our performances, which I thought was pretty laughable, considering I thought I was shocking, although I was too wound up to notice what anyone else was doing. Cerise even went so far as to say she thought it was the best performance we'd given.

There were a few dropped lines and skipped dialogue, which was a bit more traumatic than I really remembered. I haven't acted for over a year and a half, so I seemed to have forgotten what it's really like up there on stage; how much dropped lines throw you out, and the degree to which you're convinced that you don't know the script at all, and are just making it up every night. I thought that considering I learnt the lines much earlier for this show I'd be right, but the last few weeks have been pretty light on rehearsal, and I swear I've forgotten it all.

Helen had another drama come our first scene in Act 2: a rather crucial prop wasn't placed during interval, so she had to make to with some bells that were placed there instead. It was even more amusing than it sounds, but I'm being virtuous and not giving away anything about the plot for those of you who are coming to see it. [Note: Relic, on at the Guild Theatre, Melbourne Uni from 23rd of May (the Gala) until the 25th of May; also 28th May until 1st July.]

Clinton the In-House Techie (Trying to get us out of the theatre so he could go home): Come on, get out! There's life outside theatre, you know!
Me: There is? I didn't get the memo...
Clinton: Well, I did carbon-copies for everyone.
Me: Hmm. Liam and Saxon must have my copy. They never tell me anything...

Oh, and by the way, the second crush I've had so far in this production has also turned out almost-definitely straight. *sigh* I'm so sick of everyone being straight. Why can't there be another nice gay girl in the cast? Someone who isn't the writer-director (who finds me a little trying, I suspect. Probably more than a little).

My hands smell like Mia's paint.

Nat! And I didn't rig it either. We just work together. *grins*

Which 10 Things I Hate About You Character Are You?

I've just realised...:
Wackiness is supposed to update on Friday, that is, the day after the Gala for Relic. *laughs hysterically*

Don't be surprised if that doesn't happen. In the meantime, watch this space, and I'll let you know when it updates.

WS_FTP, my FTP of choice (ie, the only one of the three I have installed that works on a regular basis) has crashed twice in the last few minutes while I've virtuously tried to fix my website. Odd, ne? So, I connected to Keenspace and uploaded a JPG to see if it was the program or the connexion. That uploaded fine. Therefore, DigitalRice is being a biyatch again. And all I'm asking it to do is upload HTML files! They're tiny! They're like txt files with spirit.

Now, I'm bored, and I've had my paid LJ for months without making any polls. So here's mine. I've decided I'm going to write some answers, and you can give me the questions. Sort of like Jeopardy, but with less point.
