Date: 2003-02-05 07:34 pm (UTC)I think one reason why it wasn't done so gracefully is that the lead designer for the Monkey Island series left the company after 2. Shame about that. 3 and 4 are good, but certainly not AS good as the first 2.

Perhaps he even intended for the resolution of that whole twist to be the way it was in 3, but I'm betting he would have done it better.
