I have been in strange moods the past two days. I've wanted to wear things I wouldn't normally. Yesterday this resulted in a lurid pink-and-red-and-orange-swirly-Austin-Powers-acid-trip-60s top, today I wore my fairy wings. Everywhere. Into Cabrini hospital where I returned my crutches, on public transport, in Nat's cafe, during Wendy-class, everywhere.

I have decided that this semester, although I shall not be at uni, I shall study one of my subjects to the best of my ability; I have chosen the literature subject about the Victorian supernatural. I hope I can keep up my good intentions.

I am reading my book Affinity, by Sarah Waters. It's a book set in Victorian times about the torrid lesbian affair between a lady and a spiritualist. It's loads of fun and nowhere near as bad as my terrible one sentence summary.

I did the absurd Quizilla test to find my inner European, and discovered:
You%20are%20Bavarian
What's your Inner European?

brought to you by Quizilla
With trouser-braces and everything! It's too much! *wipes tears from eyes*

Am feeling vaguely put out that I don't have a Zan picture to colour.

*wibble*. According to that test, I'm irish.

I'm waiting for someone to call me a Feinian Bitch.

No Dani at Uni this semester? How shall I survive? You're the only decent Arts student I'm friends with. The fact that we're in different faculties can be forgotten for a bit.

Pah, I bet I can beat you with wacky clothing. I have a bonnet, and I'm not afraid to wear it.

Heh. I was a Tyrolean doll for ballet once; I was the girl, but my partner had lederhosen.

Sounds brill. ^_^ I must ask, though, what is Fool'd Dynasty? *feels rather ignorant*

Mein Gott, was ist dieses?? Ich bin nicht ein Russe!! Ich bin aller bayerischer Deutscher!!!

Hey hope you don't mind the random comment, I'm a huge Wackiness fan, and love the new strip (I have it posted outside my dorm room to piss off the guy across the hall who's obssessed with her in fact).

Also, I've been trying to redo my livejournal, but know next to nothing about HTML, I was wondering if it's not too much trouble what is the source code for your journal? 'Cause it's really cool. Thanks ^_^

Honey, always happy (and surprised) to meet a fan. *grins* Random curiosity: how did you find us?

I'm not sure whether I should admit this, but I get most of my HTML referencing (when I'm doing stuff I can't remember or never learned how to do) from Lissa Explains It All a website that may be slightly pastelly nauseating, but explains things easily.

Secondarily, if you start looking at "Page Source", usually found in the "View" menu (or similar) on your browser, you start understanding how things work. I usually open up a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor like FrontPage and switch between what's actually going to be shown in your browser and the coding behind it.

Thirdly, this current style is almost totally Generator. The previous style (far more similar to what [livejournal.com profile] sandradelete uses) was far more difficult to lay out as I did it from the ground up. This one just had the width of the tables changed and paragraph alignment switched to the right. That was about it.

Fourthly, unless you have a paid journal, I'm not too sure how you can go about changing your LJ layout besides the prefabricated styles. As far as I know the only way to change your styles dramatically is by having a paid account and going in via "Edit Style". If you have a bit of a look in there and a fiddle (which is all I do) you'll see that there isn't simply one field which contains the source code. It's quite complex, but if you're happy with spending reasonably large amounts of time (this prolly won't be a ten minute job) saving, viewing and tweaking, you too can have a customised LJ! ^^

Hope that helped.
