  1. I hate the content of my site, primarily the front page.

  2. I scared more people at Hamletmachine "rehearsal" just by being me...well, I scared Seb, but that counts.

  3. Half the stage is covered in bubblewrap. If that's not incentive to come see Hamletmachine, I don't know what is.

  4. [livejournal.com profile] johnwalton writes evilly good fic.

  5. I finally have my "keepers" icon for TitleGoesHere; took a little time because I compulsively coloured it. I love colouring.

    It's milk. And it's evil. Mmm...evil milk.

  6. I wanna work for Pixar when I grow up.

  7. My parents bought us Monsters Inc on DVD this weekend, which was cool. (see item 6) I just asked if we could rent it...hadn't seen it since the only time I saw it in the movies, Christmas last year. I love DVD commentaries.

  8. I wanna finish my coat already.

  9. Liam has no pants.

6. in what capacity?

I think working for them as an animator would suck royally.

Really? Why? I think it'd be fun...

Well, I'm currently doing character animation for a computer game, and it involves a lot of painstakig fiddling and lots of repetition and grinding teeth.

Working at Pixar would be orders of magnitude more painstaking and repetitive, with the added problem that - because of the obscene level of detail involved - it would take so much longer to see any results, and the sheer amount of geometry in the scenes would make them that much slower to work with.

And then, on top of all that, you don't even get to be animating armies of orcs!

I quite like doing character animation the way I am now, but I think you'd have to be _really_ into it to find it rewarding in that sort of context.

I can imagine it would be repetitive, but you're speaking to someone who will select large amounts of pixels with the freeform lasso tool in Photoshop in order to get the colouring to work. :)

Anyway, since it'll never happen, it's a bit of a moot point.
